Kirci Wagner is the Emerald Choir Director . Mrs. Wagner is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction to the Fargo Moorhead Youth Choir. Mrs. Wagner is currently teaching at Maple Valley Public School full-time as their 4-12 general music, band, and choir instructor. Though she is a recent graduate of Valley City State University she has extensive experience conducting voices of all ages. During her time at Valley City State she had the opportunity to intern with the Valley Voices Women’s Choir and the Valley City Civic Orchestra as an assistant conductor. Upon graduating in December of 2013, she immediately accepted a teaching position at Kensal Public School working with elementary students.
Concurrently she was the artistic director/conductor of the Valley Youth Choir. Aside from her experience as a conductor, Mrs. Wagner has over 10 years’ experience as a choral singer in large and chamber ensembles. She is an active member in the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. Her goals this year for the Fargo Moorhead Youth Choir is to increase enrollment and interest in the program, and provide unique musical opportunities for youth across the red river valley. Mrs Wagner collaborates with Josh Dahl in recruiting, inspiring, and retaining a diverse group of singers.
